Limestone is a natural product that offers ranges of colors. Each bank/section of the mountain is unique in its range of colors. Bank 1 is in the beige to light brown to brownish color range-therefore the tiles will cover this color spectrum. Please view website to get a better indication on color ranges.

NOTE: The quarry does its best to accommodate your color selection, however as a natural product there is no guarantee.

NOTE: Due to the volatility in the marketplace ocean freight, customs, other fees, and delivery from the port to the selected destination will be shown as estimates. Final pricing from the logistic company is obtained once the container is ready to be picked up from the quarry.

The quarry fabricated the limestone to your specifications per your drawings / templates. Since the order has become customized to your specifications, it cannot be canceled.

NOTE: If delivery is refused, the balance owed is still due.

FLI deals directly with the quarry in France, therefore eliminating the additional cost associated with agents and/or middlemen. It interacts with the quarry to ensure that your order especially the custom pieces are fabricated based on your specifications per the drawings / templates.

Also, FLI offers a “turnkey” operation-loading the container at the quarry, shipping the container from the quarry to the port in France, ocean freight, clearing customs and picking up the container at the port and delivering it to its final destination.

Minimum order is based on shipping a 20’ container. Consolidated containers have lately become too expensive and in a lot of instances unavailable. If a consolidated container is needed, our logistic company will do their best to secure one. However, the time frame of accessing one and shipping it, may be well beyond when the product is needed on the job site.

Delivery is based on several factors some of which are beyond our control. Once the order is placed, the quarry will start fabrication. All custom pieces take time as they will need to be approved prior to being fabricated. Once the order is complete and the container loaded, the quarry and FLI will contact the logistic company to arrange for transportation.

The steamship lines set the parameters as to when the container will be picked up from the quarry and loaded onto the ship. Ocean freight to the destined port can be 3 to 4 weeks from the time it leaves the port in France. Port and custom clearance can be from 2 to 4 days depending on how busy the port is and how fast the container clears customs. Once cleared, delivery of the container from the port to the final destination is usually the next day as the trucking company will need to schedule its pickup.

We work with architects, designers and custom home builders. An individual should contact their architect, designer or builder and ask them to contact us. This will allow FLI to obtain the necessary information, for example drawings, estimated quantities, etc. to move forward. Once received, the individual along with their architect, designer or builder are encouraged to visit our showroom to view ranges of colors and finishes. The showroom is open only by appointment If one cannot visit the showroom, then color and finish samples can be coordinated with the architect, designer or builder.

It has been our experience, that there are too many variables to give an estimated sf price. Each project is customized, that is based on those particular drawings, color and finish selections and custom pieces.

French limestone is a versatile natural product that is resistant to staining and easy to maintain. It can be used on the exterior or the interior. On the exterior, can be used in place of wood decking on any area including the pool area or front entry porch rather than brick. We would suggest limestone coping for the pool to match the tiles. On the interior, can be used in place of hardwood or tile flooring-kitchen / pantry areas, front entry hallway. The Versailles 8 pattern (please see website for more information) has been used in these areas as it is our most popular design. A Versailles 4 pattern is also available.

France has long been known for its many limestone quarries along with fine craftsmanship. This is evident by viewing the many chateaus scattered throughout the country with their limestone tiles, cobblestone courtyards, wall cladding, coping and fireplaces. French limestone is a durable product, suitable for the exterior and interior of any home, easy to maintain while adding value to the home.
