Bringing Classic Old World elegance home to youBrushed Shawn Edges
Our most basic finish. This finish reveals the fullness of each color and is used for more contemporary interiors.
Overall, the brushed sawn edges finish is a popular choice for those looking for a natural and textured look in their building materials. Whether used indoors or outdoors, this finish can add visual interest and enhance the overall aesthetic of a space.
Brushed Chipped Edges
One of the oldest finishes. Very versatile with the surface remaining smooth and colorful. The split edges bring some movement to the flooring.
This finish is achieved by first chipping the edges of the limestone to create a rough and natural-looking edge, and then using a diamond-tipped brush to soften and smooth the edge.
Chenonceau
The main difference between the Brushed Chipped Edges finish and the Chenonceau finish will be the edges randomly chipped, giving the impression that the stones have been chipped over time thus having a unique result. Ideal choice for those looking for a natural aged aspect yet keeping the practicality of a brushed finish.
Chenonceau limestone is a type of natural stone that is quarried in France and is named after the famous Château de Chenonceau. The stone has a light beige or cream color with occasional veins of gray or brown.
Duras
The lightest finish which delicately uses stone. The surface is “aged,” lightly textured with the edges resulting naturally from this method. Also, gives a nice aged flat aspect to the stone (like the Luberon finish).
Duras limestone is a type of natural stone that is quarried in France and is known for its warm, golden brown color with occasional veins of gray or beige. There are several finishes that can be applied to Duras limestone, depending on the desired look and function of the stone.
Luberon
Ideal for those seeking a middle ground between Authentique and Duras finishes while maintaining an aged and textured surface with edges less affected while allowing the grouting to remain thin. Visually, it will result in a flatter / less rounded aspect than the Authentique.
Valmy
A softer finish when compared to the Authentique. Has an aged surface with less pronounced and nicely rounded edges without the “Dalles de Bourgogne” aspect of the Authentique finish. This finish is for those who want a naturally old flooring, lightly textured.
The Valmy finish is a type of finish for limestone that is named after the Château de Valmy, a historic castle in the Champagne region of France. The Valmy finish is characterized by a textured, tumbled appearance with irregular edges and a weathered, aged look. The finish is achieved by tumbling the limestone in a machine with abrasive materials to create a worn and distressed appearance.
Authentique
Best finish for those looking for a “Dalles de Bourgogne,” a distressed finish with noticeable aged edges. Can be used both for interior and exterior. It is preferable to choose a mix of all the colors so that it remains visually harmonious and diverse yet at the same time (per the surface aspect) each color “reacting” to the treatment in its own way. Hollowed grout will add to the Authentique feature of the flooring.
